Can you believe it's already Labor Day weekend? Where did the summer go? If you missed some of the wonderful quilt shows and exhibits that were held the past few months, don't worry, there are lots of fall shows coming up soon!
The Utah State Fair starts on Sept. 8th and runs through the 18th. Along with the regular quilt show will be the challenge quilts using the challenge fabric. Challenge shows are always fun to see. It's always amazing to see the designs and different ways the fabric is used in the quilts. Of course, the whole fair is fun!
The Utah Quilt Festival will begin Sept. 20th through the 24th in Provo, UT. If you haven't signed up for classes yet, there are still spots available in some of the classes. Check the UQG web site for class listings and availability. Don't want to take a class? Come for the day....see a wonderful quilt show, mini quilts, Quilts for the Cure, and check out the vendors mall. There are still some luncheon/lecture tickets available, too. Check with the registration desk for more information during Quilt Fest, or the UQG website anytime.
October 1st is the Heber Valley Civil War Weekend Quilt Show at Soldier Hollow in Midway, Utah. More information can be found at: http://www.hebervalleycivilwarlivinghistory.com
That's all for the moment, but check back for new or updated information. Have a great September!
