"Quilt Camp", 2015 Quilt Festival

Our annual quilt festival is shaping up.  It will be held September 15 through 19, 2015, at the Davis Conference Center located in Layton, Utah.  Don't wait and lock in your hotel rate at $99 per night.  Be sure to mention that you are a member of the Utah Quilt Guild when making your reservations at the Hilton Garden Inn which is connected directly to the convention center.  If it rains, you won't get wet.  If you need to wheel your sewing machine around or if you left a ruler in your room, how convenient is that where you don't have to get in your car and go back to do/get those things.  We keep YOU in mind because WE TOO have been there.  But in case you do want to venture outside, there are near by items of interest including the Layton Hills Mall and Station Park Shopping Center, several movie theaters, an amusement park, an air force museum, "restaurant row", and saving the best for last.... quilt stores!

We have secured the following National Teachers:
Lisa Bongean
Karen Kay Buckley
Cynthia England
Marsha McCloskey
This year we are trying something a little different by not mailing letters to potential teachers/local instructors.  Instead, we have posted the details on our website.  If you have a class you would like to teach, YOU could be a great teacher!!!  Submit your proposal no later than March 1st via the website and include all the necessary data.  We know our members have knowledge and techniques to share!  Submit that handbag, wool applique, modern art, traditional, landscape, red & white, quilt-related proposal to the UQG.  March will be here before you know it so get started this weekend!  And.....GO!
