Snow Continues To Fall

It's January 21, 2017, here in Utah, and the snow continues to come down.  Some members report so far up to 11 inches today alone.  These kind of days are well needed and loved by quilters as we don't necessarily have to venture out into the snow but instead can retreat to our sewing projects.

As I type this, Road to California in Ontario is in full swing and the Sundance Film Festival is happening in Park City.  Many people are out and about and what do many of us quilters do if not there... quilt and get caught up!  So neener neener to the partying Kardashians and quilters roaming a convention center with lots of rain.

Personally, some of my unfinished objects (UFOs) that I plan to work on are a couple of Laura Heine (FiberWorks) projects including Old Blue and Oh Deer (possibly Cora Common Owl), Hoffman fabrics project called City Skylines, and a baby quilt for my sister in law.

I would love to showcase some of the quild member's UFOs in future blog posts if you wouldn't mind sending me the following information:

  • Your Name, City, State
  • Project/Quilt Name (include pattern references)
  • Brief Description of project progress
  • Photos (no more than 3 good quality resolution)
  • Email them to UQGsocialmedia@mail.com

Whatever you are out and about doing, don't forget to tag the Utah Quilt Guild in your social media posts by simply typing #UQG within the text - even of your selfies!
